Hi Max, That's not an easy question to answer as it's so individual. Basically though, if this boot is right for your purpose and it fits you well then use these will be comfortable for long periods of use. There's no question though that given the weight, you will be glad to take them off at the end of the day. Great boots though and really well made.
Having already bought the B3 version of the Karakoram (which I found a tad heavy), this HC GTX is definately the boot for my scottish winter and alpine / Mont Blanc adventures. I find them very comfortable and quite roomy for my wide forefoot, and can take my Sidas insole with ease. When walking there is a nice progression from heel strike to forefoot push-off with no slapping. My Petzel Vasak crampons fits very well to the grippy vibram sole. The traditional design of the boot with the high sides means maximum support when negotiating rough mixed terrain away from the path. At last, the complete all-rounder!

Hi Stanislav,
no, we are talking about a crampon compatible mountaineering boot, which isn´t suitable for trekking. You should take a look at something like the Trango TRK when we stick with La Sportiva.
Kind regards,
Marco
