Reviews overview

Not this pair, but I've been wearing these for many years. These new ones are better than the ones from 20 years ago, but still basically the same idea. I'm a size 50, and they are less klunky than other shoes my size that don't "size-up" as well. And they're relatively light.

Compared with my Helly Hansen - Cascade Low HT shoes, these Merrell shoes are tighter and heavier. From past experience, I know the soles will wear out faster too, and the waterproofing does not last, so I expect I will be buying another set of shoes after about 5 months of use. The grip is not as good on damp surfaces with these compared with the HH, which is surprising when you compare the soles.
I used to buy these Merrell shoes all the time (including the MOAB GTX 2), and they're okay, but I prefer the HH shoes.
