Via ferrata set with a UHMPE shock absorber

The Set Via Ferrata Pro Evo S 2.0 from LACD has elastic arms and two via ferrata carabiners at the ends with a hand release and keylock nose. These are easy to open and lock automatically when released. This keeps you safe and prevents the carabiners from opening unintentionally. The arms are connected to a swivel made of stainless steel, which prevents the arms from twisting when you’re clipping in.

In the event of a fall, the UHMPE shock absorber will come into play. It has a high breaking strength, low volume and weight, low water absorbing and elongating properties, high UV resistance and low melting point. It’s made from fibres of particularly long polyethylene chains and are perfect for via ferratas.

The Set Via Ferrata Pro Evo S 2.0 requires the user to have a minimum weight of 40 kg. The maximum load of 120 kg (including equipment) must not be exceeded.
