Garmont - Pinnacle II GTX - Mountaineering boots tested

I have been using the Pinnacle 2 GTX boot for around a year.
The lacing system is poor. The hooks that lock in the laces on the lower part of the boot bent out of shape so that the laces won't secure any more. The laces go all the way out to the toes and when snugging them up really good to prevent heel slip, they also tighten at the toes, creating a pressure point above the toes. The eyelets on the top are very wide, and won't hold the laces for tightening unless you pull up on the laces while tightening the boots. The opening at the top is too large. Even when fastening the laces as tight as they can go, the boot is still a little bit loose around the top, even with thicker socks. Buyers with thin ankles beware.
They caused some pressure points which lead to blisters on the front part of the boot, and by the little finger.
They leak only on one side, at the toes. Unexpected for a winter boot with 3 mm thick leather and Gore-Tex. However they dry up during hikes due to foot warmth.
They are very warm and breathability is pretty much non-existent. Not for summer use.
They are very stiff and have basically no cushioning, good for crampon use, but cumbersome while approaching. Gel inserts help, but don't solve the problem completely.
They are heavy, at exactly 1 kg each for size 45.
Fit is true to size and they are pretty wide and accommodating which is why I purchased them, even though on the Garmont website they are labeled as having a narrower fit.
