Disadvantages
This is what other customers say:
I do a lot of rocky terrain after having gone through the bog. I am just lazy and keep the gaiters on when I am on the ridge since I have to go through the bog at the other side. Still the wire wasted after 6 months. My other gaiters with bands lasted longer. Hence less stars.
I stick with bands.

I've worn these gaitors several times now on my mountain hikes. They are easy to put on and they prevent little stones and bits of vegetation from getting inside my boots when I'm hiking especially along sandy and tall grass areas.

Fit well for smaller sized boots, not that easy to find in the UK. Although the gaiters fit well and do a good job of keeping the boots dry, the under-boot wire gave way on the first walk. That said, most straps and wires don't last that long usually, so happy to replace with a lace, strap or tape.
