Reviews overview
This is what other customers say:
My last pair of hiking boots - also Scarpa - lasted me 25 years. There's now a hole in them but they're still waterproof!
So it took no convincing for me to go for the SCARPA - Rush Trek Pro GTX and I'm glad I did.
Very comfortable, lighter and not as hard a sole as my previous pair. I've now been using them for a year in mixed terrain, from British coastal walks to Alpine paths with scree fields and some rock climbing and they've been great. The GoreTex lining has done its job and kept my feet dry, but I wouldn't push them to the limits by walking through wet grass or snow for hours. Good grip as well, I have a torn ACL in my right knee, so I'm relying on good grip. A week up and down in the Alps with no issues.
Yes, it's a rather positive review and no - I'm not being paid for it ;-)

I loved these boots when they arrived last year and they were really comfy. However, I have done two long distance treks in them and they have failed.
I did the Offas dyke 14 day hike in the UK and the 3 Passes trek in Nepal. On the offas dyke I did get blisters from the boots. In Nepal I didn't buylt this is probably down to weight I was carrying (Offas dyke - I had all camping gear).
After the first trek in Nepal I noticed the back heel was coming a little loose. After the Offas Dyke trek both soles on the heel are peeling away and the right foot has developed a really load annoying squeaky sound when walking, making them almost impossible to use ok hard surfaces.
I am really sad about this as I loved the boots but failing before the year is out for a 220 euro pair of boots is a disappointment to be honest. They seem more suitable to day hikes and short treks. Serious trekking in hard terrain these boots don't seem to stand up to the rigours thrown at them.
Have written to Scarpa so let's see what they say
Very stable for a low boot. Quite a wide forefoot. The half sizes gave me a perfect fit. Highly recommend

Hi NISHA,
Can you advise the fit you normally need in footwear? I assume you need more than a regular fit and if that is the case I would say then that the fit from Scarpa will not suit your needs.
i wear normally size 41
But what type of fit do you need in footwear? Do you need a regular fit , narrow or wide?
i usually go for regular fit
If that's the case , I'm surprised that the 41.5 did not workout and I'm reluctant to say that the 42 will work. The only way to know for sure will be to try. My feeling however, is that the fit from Scarpa is not right for you.
