I have been wearing these sneakers (bought in Chamonix 2016) as quick hiking shoes in wet weather. They are safe on rock, sticky when the rock is steep.I found a lot more confidence when before I slipped crossing a small rocky stream in trail sneakers. Yes lightweight to pop into the nap sack. Still walking with care and concentrating. Super comfortable shoes to recommend. Go for it. Hike or bust!

Hi Brian,
According to Scarpa an EU 41.5 equates to a UK 7.5.
I know they were made in italy but many shoe brands have moved their production from italy to far east. For example la sportiva and asolo. Sometimes sellers still say they are made in italy so i would like to know for sure.

These shoes do the business over rough terrain but also look great for an arty look in general use. They hold the foot brilliantly and feel comfortable even after long hours of use. Still looking good after a year.
