I have been wearing these sneakers (bought in Chamonix 2016) as quick hiking shoes in wet weather. They are safe on rock, sticky when the rock is steep.I found a lot more confidence when before I slipped crossing a small rocky stream in trail sneakers. Yes lightweight to pop into the nap sack. Still walking with care and concentrating. Super comfortable shoes to recommend. Go for it. Hike or bust!

I bought in lieu of another more expensive and more hyped brand which also has very good shoes. These are just as comfortable, easy to wear (I wore them for hours immediately after removing them from the box), stable and offer good grip although I have yet to test them in really wet conditions. A good buy so far. I hope they last a reasonable period.

Hi Brian,
According to Scarpa an EU 41.5 equates to a UK 7.5.
I know they were made in italy but many shoe brands have moved their production from italy to far east. For example la sportiva and asolo. Sometimes sellers still say they are made in italy so i would like to know for sure.
