Reviews overview
This is what customers from around the world say:
This review is based on one day but its because I'm already impressed! Today has been cold, wet and windy, perfect conditions to take new boots out and see if they are worth the high price I paid.
Yesterday was nicer yet I still finished with frozen feet. Today I did 22miles and finished with warm feet, the grip from those Michelin soles on flat pedals is brilliant, you don't hesitate to stand on the pedals, you're stuck to them!
They are very comfortable out of the box and the lacing system and neoprene overlap feel very secure. I now need to get some waterproof trousers to compliment them, Today the rain wa heavy enough to wick down my socks!
Will send another revue in 50 miles time...but as of day one I'm very happy, I do think they'll be great value for money.
I'm returning these shoes after only three days. I commute 10 miles each way all year round and can do without wet, cold feet.
First use in really heavy rain today. Did just 10 miles and feet totally soaked. The water wasn't running down my legs into the shoes as I was wearing overtrousers, and my legs and ankles - including top of my socks - were dry. Instead, it was coming in from the stitching on top of the toe box. To make matters worse, the lining doesn't seem to insulate when wet so - even though it's only early autumn - my feet were cold.
Disappointing as the fit was great (roomy toe box - I've got wide feet) and they were very warm on the first day - which was much colder than today but, significantly, dry. The length of the cuff gave good overlap to my cycling tights preventing the cold spot I used to get on my old Lake winter boots (which were lower).
