We've been using these backpacks with my wife when travelling as a small pack for daily use. Just pack it with our clothes and other things in the big bagpack and use it on daily hikes / in the town etc. when using your 50L backpack is not efficient.
Used them for day hikes to carry food, water etc.
Works well and is compact enough, but has absolutely no structure, so carrying comfortability highly depends on how you load it.
I was looking for something like this for a long time and I will use it in all of my travels from now on after testing it in a couple of real-life scenarios.
