Lightweight 3-person tent for trekking and cycling trips
The Venus III UL 3-person tent from Exped is big enough for three people or offers luxurious space for two. The sleeping surface of 230 x 160 cm is very comfortable and the 120 cm interior height ensures a pleasant amount of headroom. This makes the Exped trekking tent ideal for taller people, too.
Trekking tent with two entrances and vestibules
With a length of 100 cm each, a vestibule adjoins each side entrance. They not only provide you with the best protection against the elements, but also create a lot of storage space for backpacks, walking boots and panniers. Exped equips the 2.75 kg light tent with a durable outer tent made from 15D ripstop nylon, which offers very good rain and moisture protection with silicone and PU coating. For good ventilation and reliable protection from insects, Exped adds 20D No-See-Um mosquito netting to the Venus III UL inner tent.
The 40D ripstop nylon tent floor is durable, sturdy and waterproof, having been laminated to protect against wetness and moisture from the ground with a hydrostatic head of 10000 mm. In addition, the 130 cm dome is supported by a high-quality aluminium frame, which is inserted into internal rod channels to save weight. When it comes to tent poles, Exped relies on the quality of DAC with its Featherlite NSL TH72M poles in a thickness of 9.6 mm and 10.25. Plus, matching Dyneema guy ropes are ready-assembled onto the Venus III UL. A matching footprint is available separately for the tent as a groundsheet and reinforcement for the tent floor.
