Weatherproof 3-person tent with an extremely lightweight design

With a weight-reduced design and lightweight materials, Exped offers the Orion III UL 3-person tent as an optimal solution for two to three people on alpine tours, cycling trips or trekking expeditions. Yet at the same time, this trekking tent guarantees reliable weather protection, high wind stability and first-class lying, sitting and sleeping comfort. With steep side walls, large entrances and 140 cm of interior height, the tent is also ideal for taller people.

Freestanding trekking tent with DAC aluminium poles

The freestanding 15D ripstop nylon inner tent and 20D no-see-um mosquito net of the Orion III UL is supported by a 9.3 mm thick Featherlite NFL TH72M aluminium pole from DAC. The lightweight 40D ripstop nylon tent floor is laminated and perfectly protects with a hydrostatic head of 10000 mm. If required, the tent floor can be supplemented with a separately available footprint. It protects against damage and dirt and additionally improves the protection from moisture. With an outer tent made from 15D ripstop nylon and a weatherproof silicone and PU coating, Exped complements the lightweight inner tent.

Six fixed guy-out points are installed on the Orion III UL. In addition, the ridge pole reaches down to the ground on both sides and makes the adjoining vestibules particularly wind-resistant. With 95 cm depth on each side, you can stow a whole lot of equipment, luggage and walking boots. Plus, the lightweight tent has a full weight of 3.2 kg, which can even be reduced to a minimum weight of 2.85 kg if required. At an economical 48 x 15 cm, the Exped tent fits perfectly in any touring luggage, on your walking backpack or luggage rack.
