Durable 2-person tent for expeditions
The Orion II Extreme 2-person tent from Exped is brimming with so many great features that are perfect for demanding mountain tours, long treks and expeditions. Thanks to the tunnel tent and gable design, the walls are steep for extra space and excellent weather protection.
Four-season tent with excellent features
The freestanding Orion II Extreme tent’s floor has a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm and is made of a 70D Taffeta material. As for the inner tent, it’s made of a 30D ripstop nylon and 20D no-see-um mosquito net. On cooler days, you can close off the inner tent for more insulation. In addition, the interior measures 220 x 130 cm, offering enough space for two people. There are exits on both sides with vestibules for extra comfort. The 2.2 m² vestibules offer plenty of space for backpacks, shoes and equipment.
In addition, Exped’s outer tent is made of a 40D ripstop nylon material with silicone coating on both sides. Its design along with the DAC Featherlite NSL poles not only makes it waterproof, but also very wind-resistant. Its interior height of 125 cm offers enough space for you to sit upright. Plus, the tent has six fixed guy-out points and is equipped with pre-assembled Dyneema guy lines. Should you want extra protection to prevent the tent floor from getting damaged, then you can purchase a separate footprint.
