Spent a long time in a mountain climbing shop in the Cairngorms choosing socks 6 years ago and chose a selection of brands to test them. My Darn Tough socks are the only ones left alive in the test and are still in mint condition since then when all the others have gone in the bin over time. Coming back for more so I can more than one pair now! Comfortable, light, breathable, well padded in the right places, long lasting and darn tough. They've passed the test of the last 6 years brilliantly. The only ones for me. In fact I'm so impressed with the wool effect that I'm now purchasing a wool top and underwear to get the same quality in all my gear.
