Over the years I have tried many different sleeping pads. When I bought this one I thought it was expensive, but I needed the compact pack size it offered, so I decided to spend the extra money and go for it. Now, I don't even remember what I paid for it, and I do not care! I absolutely LOVE this thing!! It is by far the most comfortable and warmest sleeping pad I have ever used. If you do buy one, here's a tip... What works for me is to underinflate it. I was surprised how little air it needs in it to be super comfy and warm. I find that if there is too much air in it the pad is too hard and uncomfortable. I inflate it only to a "floppy" state. It looks way too soft, but it works best for me that way. The air spreads perfectly when I lie on it. Typically I am a side-sleeper, and this pad is the best I have ever had for sleeping on my side. But interestingly, when the sleeping pad is nice and soft it encourages me to sleep on my back. It feels like it is hugging me. :-)
I use this with the Therm-a-rest Vesper quilt. That is another thing I love! The pad and the quilt work together very well. Expensive, but well worth it IMO.
Did I say, I just LOVE this sleeping pad?! :-)

The material that this mat is made of, is easily punctured. Be very careful with gravels and anything spiky.
It is warm, comfortable, light and very compact when packed.
It takes long to fully inflate it and the inflation bag is of bad quality. Finally it is expensive for what it has to offer.
