This is what customers from around the world say:
worst boots Ive ever had - they have zero grip on anything wet. Not sure how Salomon get away with selling boots with such poor grip as Ultra Alpine Approach Shoes. The only thing you're going to approach in these boots is the ground...quickly! When I first got them wore them for a couple of long walks around town to wear them in and they were comfortable enough and look good, but the grip didn't feel great even on wet pavements or muddy grass. Wore them up a small hill today and on wet or muddy ground uphill or down you cant keep your feet, on wet or damp rock or roots they're deadly. After a slow walk down careful to walk on heather and moss I put them in the cupboard, where they will stay until the summer! I guess they will last me for years if I only wear them 2 weeks every year. Defo not a boot for Scottish weather.
