Rab - Microlight Windstopper Hoody - Down jacket tested

The Rab Microlight is warm for its weight and packs down very small. The hood is great, and the Windstopper fabric does its job well. The build quality seems high.
The major downside: it leaks down "powder" excessively. My mid-layers, especially fleece and merino wool, end up covered in tiny feathers after each use. I followed the care instructions (washed with Grangers Down Wash, tumble-dried on low with tennis balls), which reduced the problem but didn't eliminate it. If you wear dark colors underneath, be prepared. It's a shame, as this is otherwise a near-perfect light insulation piece.
