This is a very well made fleece. It is a well cut fleece providing reasonable levels of warmth.
However, it is rather bulky for the warmth it provides, especially when compared to grid-fleece or high-loft fleece.
Also, the integrate hood doesn't fit the head snugly and can't be adjusted - as a result, it lets in lot of cold air from the front

This is a really well made fleece jacket. Like a lot of fleeces it keeps you warm, but isn't particularly windproof, which is more noticeable when the wind is cold. I find it a good stand alone fleece for summer evenings, but when the weather is cold, I wear it under my hard shell. This is were it comes into its own. Keeps me very warm but isn't sweaty when you are on the move due to its excellent breathability. I guess its best used in the mountains, but it also works well for weekend warriors in the Lake District in all weathers ... under a hard shell.
