The rope handles very nicely out of the box. Can tangle a bit but nothing to worry about. I've been using it indoors and outdoors too and I'm happy wit it. Easy on the skin and easy to coil up and carry around, so it's a good choice for the outdoors.

This rope is a pleasure to climb with. It's light and flexible and doesn't even feel like the 9.7mm listed. Perfect for those really tough projects when you feel ever little helps.
