Extremely fast and flexible when travelling
The Orion III UL from Exped is an ultra-light and stable 2 or 3-person tent for alpine tours and treks with minimal luggage! Its sophisticated mix of materials and highly efficient construction can withstand the high demands of even more challenging tours. While the outer and inner tent are made of very fine, lightweight yet strong ripstop nylon, the groundsheet with its coarser nylon offers reliable protection against moisture, dirt and abrasion.
The ingenious design of the Orion tent makes it very storm resistant, with the ridge pole reaching all the way to the ground, and it will stand on its own without any guy points. At the same time, the design provides a high interior with relatively steep sidewalls, which makes living in the tent very comfortable in terms of weight and pack size.
Maximum efficiency and yet plenty of comfort
The two vestibules of the Orion III UL offer sufficient protected storage space and easily accessible entrance areas. The pole bases are designed for two different pole sets and the three Dyneema guy lines come pre-assembled. This makes it even faster and more flexible to assemble. The tried-and-tested DAC frame is also lightweight, robust and easy to use.
As part of the ultra-light range, the Orion III UL is particularly light and compact, combined with reliable durability. Quick and easy to set up thanks to the poles in the flysheet, it also offers a high degree of flexibility and is suitable for many different types of demanding activities.
