My EU size is 37. In the conversion table for this particular shoe, I am not sure if UK4 or UK4.5 is better. Their equivalents are around EU37, but never precisely EU37.
Is it better to have a bit of leeway inside the shoe? Or is it better to have a tighter shoe (in the idea that it might give in or loosen up in time)?

In your case , I think it best that you order both to try on at home because you are falling between sizes. We can only estimate that the size UK 4 should be right but if you have a wider foot then you may need the extra space of the UK 4.5.
Thank you, Adrian! While it is not possible for me to order both, I do have a wider foot (thank you for adding that detail, I hadn't thought of it). I guess the 4.5 is my best option. Thank you. As soon as I can make the purchase, that will be it for me.
I just got the shoes. It turns out they are too large. Both too long and too wide. I guess I have to size down, in my case. Well, I will do that for sure. Will be returning the package and purchasing the smaller size.
