Hi Breege, This jacket itself offers little insulation. If you want some extra warmth on the cold days, the Berhaus Hillwalker - thanks to the InterActive zipper - is compatible with all Berghaus Interactive Fleece's. Find all suitable inner jackets via the link below:

As far as heat is concerned, it is always difficult to give a concrete answer, unfortunately I cannot guarantee that you will be warm at all times.
