Hi Breege, This jacket itself offers little insulation. If you want some extra warmth on the cold days, the Berhaus Hillwalker - thanks to the InterActive zipper - is compatible with all Berghaus Interactive Fleece's. Find all suitable inner jackets via the link below:

As far as heat is concerned, it is always difficult to give a concrete answer, unfortunately I cannot guarantee that you will be warm at all times. People tend to differ greatly in the way in which temperature is perceived (very subjective) and this depends on different (environmental) factors.
