Norwegian winters are truly testing'cold winds blowing off the ocean, wet snow, and frigid temperatures in the interior'and since the Bergans Bodo Women's Down Jacket was designed to withstand Scandinavian weather, it will certainly keep you warm strolling the icy avenues of North America. Bergans constructed the Bodo from a wind- and water-repellent blend of nylon and polyester, so sudden squalls and wintery breezes won't steal your warmth, and filled it with lofty 700-fill down that traps heat close to your body despite its remarkably light weight. All the loft in the world won't warm your exposed head, though, but the Bodo's down-filled hood will; it can also be removed, as can the faux-fur ruff, when the day warms up and a more streamlined look is in order. The high collar provides extra warmth for your neck and chin, soft inner cuffs with thumbholes prevent drafts from sneaking up your sleeves, and the asymmetrical zipper won't irritate your chin or let the Bodo be mistaken for a run-of-the-mill coat.
