Bought this to take around with me in small hikes, for work, and as under-layer light jacket. It does its job just fine. Very light, not super warm, neither is it cold, you won't be noticing it on top of you or on the backpack. Fits well on top of few layers to keep everything nice and light, won't get in the way of a nice pace, allows for very fluid movements and is just warm enough for most of the outdoors activities in the fall and (not very harsh)winter.
Can hold a bit of wind, but if it gets too windy or gusty, then the cold might just creep in.
