Diameter is far too large to be used as a prusik.
I have connected the 2 ends together and used it to carry my trad gear instead.

This is q good solid product.
I found the preformed end loops very tight to get my Climbing Technology - Lime screwdriver - Screwgate carabiner through... It was a bit easier with BEAL 'biners though. Good product

Generally: The larger the diameter difference between the main rope and the prusic cord the more friction/breaking force is created.
6-7 mm cord is recommended!
