This is what customers from around the world say:
I purchased this for a multi day trek to Kilimanjaro. The benefits of having multiple quick access pockets on the shoulder straps, allowed lots of quick access snacks/ phone/ glasses without having to stop, take the bag off, take the rain cover off, take gloves off etc. However, the top closure is fiddly, yes it allows for extra items or layers to be stuffed into it but provides no protection from the elements or smaller items being able to fall out by accident. The shoulder strap padding is also a lot more limited compared to other osprey bags, as is the adjustment options. I had to be really particular about how the straps were adjusted to ensure the shoulder padding sat on my shoulders correctly, other osprey bags have the whole strap padded whilst this has padding only in the top section. Carrying 4kg water + snacks + layers might have fitted easily in this pack but the weight actually hurt on my shoulders if the adjustments were not in a very specific range, which was annoying as the weight made the adjustments slip.
