Bought for a beginner relative as an ATC Pilot alternative (looks nicer, advertised as beginner friendly). Tried it first, but friction was too low, to the extent of being dangerous. Maybe if you have a really thick rope?

I don't recommend this product as it is easy to thread it backwards, that is so that climber is on break hand side. The device is symmetric and when flipped it doesn't feel immediately wrong. You really have to pay attention when threading it and always do a pull test!
I have managed to thread it backwards twice and one time also caught a fall. It still worked, but it didn't lock up. These where my mistakes of course, but compared to other similar products for this one it is just harder to tell whether it is set up in a correct way or not, so why to take that risk with it?
When threaded correctly it works fine though.
