Organic Content Standard (OCS)
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is an international standard that makes it possible to verify the proportion of organically produced materials in products. It applies to textiles such as clothing, home textiles, accessories, fibres, yarns and fabrics. The criteria include the traceability of organic material throughout the entire supply chain and compliance with the requirements of the Content Claim Standard (CCS). Only materials from certified organic farms that operate according to recognised standards (e.g. IFOAM) are accepted. The standard does not specify any requirements for chemical management or social criteria but concentrates exclusively on verifying the organic content. Compliance is monitored by independent certification bodies at all stages of production. More information is available on the official website: Organic Content Standard (OCS).
