I've used those all arounder, even during summer (but hey, i was toasty), they are definately very warm (was perfectly fine at -15C even sitting for long periods) and they have good grip and are comfortable. I've even climbed a glaciated 5000m peak in them, however its not recommended to do that because they don't have rigid soles for the crampons (used with strap-on crampons).
