This watch has excellent battery life, all the outdoor activity tracking you need, easy pairing with other device via ANT and Bluetooth, and feels absolutely bombproof! Although the solar panel requires sustained and relatively intense sunlight to make a noticeable difference to battery life, I did not buy it expecting the solar power to work miracles. I don't live in a hot climate so I can't honestly say that it makes a difference for most of the year, although if you do live somewhere with lots of sunlight then you could definitely benefit from the solar charging. Overall this is probably the best value for money GPS watch for outdoors enthusiasts of all sorts; it doesn't have the extra features of the Fenix series, but who cares? It's aimed squarely at the outdoor market, and for that purpose it performs brilliantly.
