Exped - Mega Pillow - Pillow tested

I purchased this pillow because it was advertised as big, comfortable, and lightweight (170g). Unfortunately, only the size meets expectations. In reality, the pillow weighs 260g, significantly heavier than advertised. Comfort-wise, it falls short. The padding is extremely thin, offering almost no cushioning, which makes sleeping feel as though you're lying directly on the inflatable core.

My biggest mistake was attempting to remove the inflatable inner part from the outer "comfort" cover. This quickly turned into a frustrating experience—the inner material is extremely delicate and tears easily. The Velcro patch meant to secure the inner part snagged on the fragile inner fabric, resulting in numerous tears around the inflation valve area and making reassembly a hassle.

While it's true that the pillow is spacious when inflated and packs down compactly, the build quality is bad. The internal materials are disappointingly poor, and the small Velcro opening for removing the inner portion is badly designed—far too small, impractical, and directly responsible for damaging the inner fabric.

Overall, this pillow is an overpriced disappointment, especially surprising from a reputable Swiss brand. I strongly recommend avoiding it. If you're looking for a quality camping pillow, opt for the Nemo Fillo instead.
