Cycling vests: lightweight and comfortable weather protection

Cycling Vests & Gilets

Cycling, be it on your mountain bike or road bike, can sometimes become a turbulent adventure when dark clouds start rolling in. Therefore, you’ll need weatherproof clothes that also provide lots of freedom of movement. Cycling vests are a great option because they’re lightweight, non-restrictive and are high-performance. What do cycling vests do?

Cycling vests boast great features and are an ideal option when it starts to rain, yet the weather is too mild for a warm jacket.

The most important point: weather protection. Cycling vests will reliably protect you against wind and moisture, so they’re guaranteed to keep you dry in light rain showers. However, some models are even completely windproof, which means icy winds won’t stand a chance against the vest. Breathability is also very important, as even experienced cyclists will break out into a sweat on more challenging tours. Size and visibility

When it comes to size, cycling vests are super impressive. They're very easy to pack (some models even come with a stuff sack) and can be folded very small. This means, you’ll even be able to fit it into a full saddle bag.
As for safety, good visibility in poor lighting conditions is essential. Reflective elements ensure visibility at twilight or in fog, but if you like to cycle in the dark, there are models with signal colours that are specially designed for this. Safety first!
