The axe for when you probably won't need one

Got this to take along the HRP in 2023 after considerable research showed it was the lightest metal axe available at the time. Complemented with a pair of Petzl Leopard crampons. (In the end neither was needed as it was a low snow year and there was none left by the time I got to the big cols; but that made me all the more glad I'd gone for lightweight gear!). Since then I've also taken this out in Scotland a fair bit in the sort of early/late season conditions where you probably won't need an axe... but it's nice to have one Just In Case.
