The Jetforce Pro Pack 35 avalanche backpack from Black Diamond with the Pieps technology is a must when touring. The revised avalanche airbag is now even lighter and more comfortable, and this 35-litre model is specially ideal for multi-day tours.

It features a carrier unit in which the blower, airbag and battery are stowed, keeping you safe during winter sports. The blower can inflate the 200-litre airbag in less than three seconds with pure ambient air and at temperatures as low as minus 30° Celsius. If you happen to be buried, the air will escape the airbag after a few minutes. This releases pressure from the snow to help you breathe. In addition, it comes with a rechargeable battery. When fully charged, the airbag can be released up to four times. With the 500 charging cycles, the battery will last you a long time.

Not only does the 35-litre backpack offer enough space for your gear on multi-day tours, but also for instructors who need to carry lots of equipment. It features an avy tool pocket, a hip belt pocket, a helmet holder, ice axe holders and ski holders to keep your things organised. In addition, the deployment mechanism can either be placed on the right or left shoulder strap.

The 35-litre volume might be too big for day trips, but thanks to the zip-on system, the zip-on unit can be removed and replaced with a 25 or 10-litre pack. These must be purchased separately.
