Is it normal for ski touring pants not to have (m)any pockets?

I see this one comes with one pocket only, both in men's and women's. And similarly, only two chest pockets in the jacket. Is this normal for touring outfit?

In this case , it's simply down to the chosen design from Millet, nothing more.
