Easily one of the best things I have ever bought in my life. The passion that has gone into this product from the company is outstanding and it shows. These aren’t just a pair of gloves they are something you will treasure for life. Make sure you use the measurement from your preferred hand eg if right handed it makes a big difference with fitting correctly. Must buy !
Also be aware the included conditioner sample does make the leather darker in colour
As I've gotten older I tend to feel the cold in my hands. In a cold wind I can lose all feeling and dexterity in a few minutes, which can be problematic on a mountain in bad weather.
I've tried layering gloves to counter this, but only the Hestra Falt can restore warmth and feeling to my hands in just a few minutes, they are incredible.
And they're bombproof! Originally I measured my hands incorrectly and bought 2 sizes too small. I hoped they might stretch a little as they broke in, so wore them whilst I plunged my hands in boiling water; held them in steam over a boiling pan; picked up the pan straight from the hob and held it by it's copper bottom. Apart from a few drops of hot water (not enough to cause a problem) seeping through the stitches after a minute of full submersion, these totally protected my hands and still looked brand new afterwards. I've only used them in the worst weather conditions: -14°c, driving rain, winds in excess of 50mph, and these have fully protected my hands and looked brand new afterwards.
When I eventually realised I'd bought 2 sizes too small I decided to try other gloves as potential replacements, but none were as good as the Falt, so I ordered another pair. But then I knew that I would, and that's about the best recommendation I can give.
