Product description

The all-rounder for Alpine terrain - the Pendi 8.0 is produced exclusively for Bergfreunde in the Mammut ropemaking company. The climbing rope is approved as a half and twin rope and has a high quality Dry treatment. Its fantastic technical properties make the Mammut Pendi perfect for all kinds of Mountain sports - and all that for a very fair price!
The climbing rope can be used for trad climbing in Wales, Alpine climbing in the Dolomites or for ice climbing in the Mont Blanc region. The dry treatment makes the Pendi absorb hardly any moisture and it handles well while staying smooth in snow and ice - even a completely saturated rope will maintain 80% of its normal fall rate thanks to the dry treatment. The treatment additionally repels dust from the inside of the rope where the constant friction would make the rope wear much faster.
The low impact force of using the half rope puts less pressure on the connection points. This is a big plus for safety, especially on Alpine terrain and when using portable safety equipment.
The Pendi is produced in Switzerland like all other Mammut ropes, which makes complete quality control possible. This fulfills the high environmental requirements set out by bluesign product guidelines. Summary: a top rope with a fantastic price/performance ratio and a good environmental balance!
