Made for cold temperatures: the Exped SynMat 7 XP has an R-value of 4.9 and a thickness of 7cm, making the sleeping mat suitable for -17°C. Yikes! If you're the type who enjoys those bitterly cold winter adventures or want a cosy base camp, you need a mat that can do two things: allow you to get a good night's sleep and prevent you from getting hypothermia.



This is where a mat like the SynMat 7 XP comes into play. Thanks to the additional Polyester Texpedloft material, this mat will keep you warm and comfortable. The strong baffle construction with laminated fleece on both sides prevents slippage, so you'll stay on the mat! The flat valves allow for easy inflation and deflation. Since you should refrain from inflating the sleeping mat with your mouth in cold temperatures (the moist air can condense and subsequently freezing inside the mat), a Schnozzel Pumpbag is included with the SynMat. The pump bag doubles as a waterproof stuff sack! Pretty cool, right?
