Product description

Be surefooted at high altitudes

The Phantom 6000 expedition boots from Scarpa are the warmest, lightest and most technical boots they have on the market. As their name suggests, these boots are designed for use on mountains that exceed European heights, while always promising support and warm feet. The Phantom 6000 are the optimal companions for technical, high altitude mountaineering as well as climbing icefalls in extremely cold conditions. As a result, they are best suited for technical expeditions in Central Asia or South America and for alpine-style winter ascents in the Alps or the mountains of Alaska. Thanks to their low weight, your focus can be turned towards speed, agility and technical ice climbing.

High-level technology

Thanks to the use of HDry technology in combination with Putek and Schoeller S-Tech, the gaiters keep your feet nice and dry. In addition, the WinTherm technology in the outer and the Primaloft lining provide you with plenty of warmth in the boots. The removable liner allows you to dry the boot in your tent and keep it warm overnight, even when space is limited. Plus, the durable Vibram sole offers sufficient grip in ice-free terrain without crampons. With the stability and agility of these boots, even the steepest and highest mountains are within your reach!

Hi Deborah, That would depend on where the mountain is in the world and how you feel the cold but Scarpa would only recommend these for up to around 6500m.
