Edelrid designed its Python Standard Climbing 10.0mm Rope for beginner climbers to help with the transition from plastic-pulling prowess to the outdoor crags. Its 10-millimeter diameter and Thermo Shield treatment offers enhanced handling and better control for beginning belayers. It has an excellent fall rating with an exceptional impact force to keep you learning the ways of the outdoor climber for many years. Despite its thick diameter, the Python still remains surprisingly lightweight to keep intermediate and advanced climbers happy too. Get the 60-meter length for standard sport routes, or get the 70-meter if you want to get into multipitch climbing or longer sport routes.
