Warm down jacket for ambitious alpine adventures and mountaineering
The Summit Series, which also includes the Summit Breithorn Jacket, is The North Face’s top class of mountaineering equipment. Accordingly, the garments of this series are as lightweight as possible, feature many useful details and an uncompromising design for excellent performance in harsh environments. This is of course also true for the Summit Breithorn Jacket. Perfect for technical climbing in low temperatures, it is very lightweight and super warm - thanks to its RDS-certified down fill with 800 cuin fill power. And if you should get too warm, you can simply stow the highly compressible jacket in its own left pocket. The down retains its fill power even when wet. Plus, the outer layer received a PFC-free DWR finish for additional moisture protection. You can store small items in the two chest pockets and the two front pockets, all of which have water-repellent zips. In addition, the jacket features two inner mesh drop pockets. The cuffs are stretchy and made of quick drying FlashDry fabric for overall comfort. The hem is equipped with an adjustable drawstring to prevent cold draughts from entering this jacket.
