Product description
All-round climbing shoes for advanced climbers
The Vega from UnParallel are versatile climbing and bouldering shoes for advanced climbers and boulderers. They are significantly more aggressive than entry-level models, yet still excel in comfort and versatility. You can easily wear them for sport climbing and bouldering out on the crag and in the climbing hall.
Overall, these climbing shoes feature a design that tends to be more practical for those desiring sensitivity and friction. The medium-firm sole made from 3.5 mm thick RS rubber in combination with a rather aggressive downturn make the shoes particularly suitable for smearing and overhang routes. As a result, the shoes are best suited for modern indoor bouldering and short sport climbing routes with overhang. However, they are less recommended for multi-pitch climbing or long, vertical sport climbing routes with many small footholds.
In a nutshell, those who mainly want to boulder or love steep sport climbing routes will find the Vega to be the perfect all-rounders with a special talent for friction.

I bought these shoes in hopes that they would be better than my pair of black diamonds that I viscerally disliked but wanted to give them a chance -
The Vegas have succeeded in this tenfold, but they are also a shoe that has proven to be the most confusing for me, for a very good reason.
I was recommended a 6.5 in these shoes ( a half size down from my street shoe), though little did I know the first pair I tried on was mistakenly a size 5.5 (US 6.5) - I couldn’t even tell.
The first time on the wall, yes they were abit painful, but not remotely too much compared to other pairs I’ve tried. After a single session and recovery, they felt like they were heat moulded to my feet - an absolutely perfect fit.
I don’t know how the rubber has done so well to allow for a 1.5 size downsize (I initially wanted to send them back after I made such a dumb mistake) but the proof was in the performance. I would recommend these to anyone who has a mid range budget and that doesn’t want to sacrifice comfort for their sport. My heels have never felt so secure and I have never felt more confused by a good shoe.
