Insulated mountain boots for ice and mixed climbing
The Phantom Tech HD from Scarpa are mountain boots for ice climbing and mixed climbing. They feature an excellent insulation, optimal precision and an extremely light weight, making them perfect for demanding technical ascents.
Gaiters with a waterproof membrane
The waterproof zips allow for an easy on/off and the raised gaiters are made of an abrasion-resistant, flexible material with a completely waterproof and breathable HDry membrane. In case of an emergency, the RECCO reflector that is integrated in the collar helps rescuers find you. Underneath the gaiters is a stable and durable protective layer that protects you and the boots from intense contact with rock or ice.
Optimised for technical climbing
The aggressive and coarsely profiled Vibram outsoles are designed for climbing, making these boots ideal for technical ascents. The inner shell offers excellent stability and great comfort. The special SockFit technology ensures an optimal fit without pressure marks. The high-quality PrimaLoft insulation keeps your feet warm and flexible. For added comfort and insulation, Scarpa used the O-Therm insoles by Ortholite.
All of these features make the Phantom Tech HD the ideal mountain boots for experienced ice and mixed climbers.

Got the Phantom Techs recently and had the opportunity to try them for 10+ trips on WI and mixed routes. They are waterproof and robust, but I keep having cold feet in them in relatively warm weather (-3/-4 C), this might be caused by the socks that I use and not the boots themselves. All in all, a great boot!
