Even though this high-quality hardshell jacket was designed specifically for alpine climbing, it's just as well suited for high-altitude mountaineering or trekking in the Alps. The hardshell jacket is made of three-layer GORE-TEX Pro material complete with a DWR finish, making it both windproof and waterproof. In other words, you'll have superior protection in rainy, snowy or windy conditions. The jacket's fabric is also very breathable, so those tough ascents shouldn't be an issue. The material is also incredibly tough, so the jacket can really take a beating out there on the rugged terrain of Alps. Another great thing about this jacket: Patagonia used recycled polyamide in manufacturing the jacket, making it environmentally-friendly and sustainable.
