I call this my low-altitude softshell jacket due to its thickness and material abrasion characteristics. This is a high-quality softshell jacket, a well-designed windstopper and water repellent, but not designed for low temperatures or rugged environments (such as the Westalpen model). I use it also as my day-to-day streetwear due to its great style.

Even in missused environment like daily driver, the jacket does quite well against most conditions that a windy city can throw at you.
I wish the hood was removable though . Can be a bit tight(especially when layering) - order bigger if you are on the muscular / bigger side.
For the 45% off on the multi-color one, would buy again. Full price ... think twice.
