Product description
Duck, the innovative emergency rope clamp. Conceived for single ropes with a diameter between 8 and 13 mm, Duck is the 'rst and only belay device that works also on plane and tubular slings from 10 to 15 mm width (even if these are not certi'ed for progression). Due to the small dimensions, it can be easily inserted even with one only hand. The big hole allows the rotation of sleeve connectors. Duck is born like an emergency rope clamp for retrieve, self-belay, progression manouvres and for regulations of daisy chains.

I use this mainly for top rope soloing and find this the most useful tool on the market. As this has a camming mechanism rather than teeth, it is very rope friendly, glides up the rope with very little drag and secures the climber when weighted. It is also small and very light. I use it mainly with 9.5 or 10.5 mm rope.

It is light and easy to use. Don't know about on wet/iced ropes.
Good product still works. Double check the carabiner you uses. HMS fits it well.
