Product description

Lightweight half-rope with easy-grip handling

A great rope for long alpine tours, trad routes or the Big Wall - the Legend 8.3 from Beal! The half rope is super light due to its small diameter. With the Thermo Fluid infrared treatment, it’s not only compact and supple, but it also makes it glide easily through intermediate belays and is comfortable to handle in the belay device. Plus, the Unicore technology bonds the rope’s core and sheath together. This prevents the sheath from shifting and improves the safety of the rope by making it more robust.

The low impact force reduces the stress on the intermediate belays and cushions fall. In addition, it has an impressively high number of standard falls. If you want to be safe on long tours, but also want a lightweight rope, then you should take a closer look at the Beal Legend 8.3!

Lifetime and avoidance of tangling

Beal ropes have a service life of maximum 15 years from the date of manufacturing (5 years storage + 10 years use). Depending on the frequency of use or damage, the service life will be reduced.

With the Magic Pack, the rope can be unwound optimally before it is first used in order to avoid tangling later on. By deliberately pulling the rope through it before use, the rope is also given a good stretch, which further helps to prevent tangling.

I would buy this rope again.

I have been using this rope for about one year now. Its use is mainly for ascending and as a safety rope in three climbing as a hobby. When used with a rope bag it pays out without tangling and can be stowed easily in reverse order.
