Plenty of light at a low weight

The Swift RL Classic from Petzl is ideal if you need powerful light in the dark but don't want a heavy setup on your head. With around 1200 lumens and a light range of up to around 170 metres, it offers plenty of range for fast descents, ski tours or night-time ascents. It weighs around 100 grams, which is comfortable to wear even after several hours of use. Plus, the combined light cone is practically tuned and ensures that both the area directly in front of you and more distant terrain remain easily recognisable.

Automatic light control for long periods of use

A key advantage of the Swift RL Classic is its REACTIVE LIGHTING technology. A sensor automatically adjusts the light intensity and light cone to the ambient brightness. This reduces unnecessarily high output, saves battery power and ensures an even level of vision without constant readjustment. This is particularly noticeable during long tours, as in medium mode the light lasts for around seven hours, at least. If you want to make the decisions yourself, you can switch to STANDARD LIGHTING mode at any time. For brief, critical moments, you can also activate BOOST mode for a short time.

Comfortable classic headband and practical details

In addition, the wide CLASSIC headband is made up of two parts and sits stably to evenly distribute the weight of the light, which remains comfortable even during dynamic movements. The headband is easy to adjust, remove and wash. Safety functions such as a red continuous or flashing light, a reliable LOCK function to prevent unintentional switching on, and the capacity of the battery to continue running down to around minus five degrees increase its utility value. The battery is charged via USB-C and the current charge level can be read off precisely.
