Product description
The Snow Picket from MSR allows you to place anchors where you otherwise couldn’t. The anchor can be placed in snow or firn and can plunge vertically or work horizontally. When used vertically, the pointy tip penetrates the snow nicely. It has several attachment points, so when it’s not sunk full length vertically you can still use the 90 cm long Snow Picket without the lever action being too great. The picket is made from T-shaped aluminium stock, so it offers maximum strength. Regardless of whether you’re ice climbing, alpine climbing or on an expedition in the Himalayas, this tool is a must for every mountaineer!
Important note: No standard values can be provided for the MSR Snow Picket, as the strength of the device depends primarily on the type of placement and make-up of the ground.
