One of the most high-performance, portable filter systems for water disinfection, worldwide, at any time - the Guardian Purifier Pump by MSR! This pump system was developed in collaboration with the US military to provide clean water resources for all travellers, backpackers and rescue serviceman in every country on earth. The Guardian water purifier complies with thee requirements for the extraction of hygienically safe drinking water (NSF Log P248) in accordance with scientifically recognised testing methods.
A hollow-fibre filter cartridge forms the centre part of the system, mechanically removing harmful microbes, protozoa, bacteria, dirt particles and even viruses from extremely contaminated water sources. Water is conveyed into the filter system via the suction hose with each pump action and expelled as safe drinking water. About 10% of this water is used for self-cleaning during the procedure, and is rinsed out through a dirty water discharge hose. This ensures that the Guardian Purifier Pump is easy to maintain as a portable water treatment system - even in the most extreme conditions, in emergency situations, major crises and in areas where there is no easy access to clean drinking water!
